Horimiya Episode 4 Discussion & Gallery

Horimiya’s episode four was so freaking good! It was impossible not to feel all gushy inside. Not only because of the romantic relationships but also due to all the wholesome friendships developed so far. Right off the bat, I loved the scene where Izumi, Tooru, and Kakeru were sitting together eating ice cream. It just felt natural and made me want to go back to those Summer high school days where I would leave school after lunch without a care in the world.

Meanwhile, I’m pretty stocked by Tooru coupling with Sakura. I’m sure he will end up with Yuki, as that is the relationship that makes more sense. Still, the two of them would look great together. It goes without saying that I loved the Izumi stripping away bit – the guy is gorgeous! But I enjoyed the story about him and his middle-school friend even more. It’s nice to see that there was at least one schoolmate who befriended our protagonist. Although this makes me wonder why he still has so much difficulty believing that people want to be friends with him now that he’s in high school.

Of course, the episode’s big climax was when Izumi confessed his love for Kyouko without realizing she was fully awake and listening to him. Truth enough, it wasn’t the most climatic love confession I’ve ever seen, but it just made my heart melt away. Did you enjoy Horimiya’s episode four? Tell me everything down below. ?
