Kai Byoui Ramune Episode 12 (Final) Discussion & Gallery

I love that Kai Byoui Ramune’s story goes full circle in its final episode. Ramune has helped so many people throughout the series that it makes complete sense that they would help him when he’s the one in need. Like the Anime mentioned, Dr. Ramune didn’t only cure mysterious diseases – he helped everyone to find a happier place in their lives.

The question the Anime raises is also interesting. Health professionals learn to emotionally detach from their patients. It’s easy to understand why – when you spend your days with people that might not make it, it would be impossible to have emotional stability if you developed strong emotions for each patient you have. As we know, Dr. Ramune doesn’t do this. He cares for his patients a lot, and he’s always putting himself at risk because of them. It’s a difficult nut to crack, though. Honestly, I don’t even have a clear answer. I just know that I would never be able to be a health professional, and I have those who choose this career in a high remark.

Finally, the episode shows how all Ramune’s patients are living their best lives. Everyone is mentioned, and it’s heartwarming to see how many lives the doctor has touched.
