Kamisama ni Natta Hi Episode 1 Discussion & Gallery

I believe it’s no secret that I love romantic comedies. They’re the perfect Anime titles to watch after a long day and unwind for a bit. Most of them are silly and wholesome, and even the ones who go for a more serious route end up having some funny scenes here and there. For this Fall Season, I decided to follow Kamisama ni Natta Hi and see how it goes. The first episode was already pretty fun to watch, so I’m guessing I’ll enjoy the ride for the next 12 weeks.

One of the things that caught my attention right away was the story’s theme. An omniscient Goddess appears to an average high schooler and tells him the world is going to end in 30 days. That’s just an excellent setting to get into all sorts of funny predicaments if you ask me. I’m also already in love with Hina. She’s the cutest God I’ve ever seen, and I’m pretty happy that the author went for a sillier kind of character rather than lewd. I know many people love the latter, but I guess I just want to enjoy an Anime without such type of characters. Hina reminds me a lot of Taiga from Toradora! (without the aggressive personality trait), which is more than enough for me.

The animation is gorgeous, especially when it comes to those close-up shots. Moreover, all characters are quite handsome. Especially Ashura Kokuhou, but hey… I always got something for blonde Anime guys, so it’s just natural to feel that way. What about you? Did you enjoy Kamisama ni Natta Hi’s first episode?
