Kamisama ni Natta Hi Episode 8 Discussion & Gallery
Even though Kamisama ni Natta Hi episode eight had some funny scenes, there’s no doubt that we’re approaching an emotional ending. After discovering about Hina’s Logo Syndrome, I’m already preparing myself for the worst. I still don’t believe Hina is the actual girl, though. From what her father said, she would probably be either in a vegetative state or dead. So, having her running from one place to another seems unlikely. In my opinion, Hina is a robot, and her ‘grandfather’ implemented the original girl’s memories into the system. That’s the only reason I can find for Hiroto being looking for her. Moreover, it was already hinted that the scientist dabbled in IA emotions and quantic science, which would explain Hina’s clairvoyance. Either way, get ready to be slapped in the face by the end of the Anime… And to cry a lot.
I also need to address Hina’s father. As someone who helped my mother caring for my grandmother when she was in a vegetative state, how despicable can you be to ditch your ill daughter? I’m sorry, but no matter how hard it is, we’re speaking about someone who’s relying on you. I just can’t see a reason to make such action ok. For me, the guy is despicable! Honestly, his wife is no better. From what I could understand, she was already with him when he decided to ditch Hina. So, my question is why she wasn’t more supportive. Sure, they have their own life and other kids to care for. Still, that doesn’t mean you should abandon your 7-year child just because she’s ill.
Overall, I enjoyed the episode. While I would like for the Anime to maintain its lighter tone, the plot is becoming quite interesting. It’s one of those stories that you don’t know what is going to happen that comes with complex characters. Did you like Kamisama ni Natta Hi episode eight?
