Kemono Jihen Episode 7 Discussion & Gallery

Kemono Jihen episode seven was way better than the previous one. Instead of presenting yet another character or trying to focus on (too) many topics at once, the authors focused only on Shiki’s story and development. Because of this, the episode had an excellent pace and was interesting throughout the 20 minutes.

The story by itself is also pretty good. While at the beginning it seemed that Shiki’s story would abruptly end with “your parents are dead”, the episode actually came with an awesome plot twist that made everything come together. The explanation behind why Shiki can’t remember much of his childhood also deserves mention, as it creates a better foundation for the story overall. Of course, I was disgusted by the story behind Shiki’s uncle, and I feel pretty bad for Shiki’s mom. Even though the scenes were a bit obscured due to obvious reasons, it was enough to get a good idea of what was going on. I can only imagine what must have been for Shiki to see her mother in such a position.

However, I’m quite curious to know who is the pink-haired girl following Shiki through the episode. She resembles Shiki’s mom a lot, so I wonder if she might be her sister. That, or maybe Shiki’s mother became younger/smaller because of fabricating so much golden web. As we know, Shiki’s mother didn’t die the day that we were made believe, and it’s clear that Shiki’s uncle continued with his experiments for many years. Honestly, I’m not sure which one of the options I would prefer. The only thing I know for certain is that Shiki’s uncle deserves a lot of pain. Did you enjoy Kemono Jihen episode 7?
