Kimi to Boku no Saigo Episode 1 Discussion & Gallery
I’m pretty sure I will watch all the Anime I picked this Fall season until the end, except Kimi to Boku no Saigo. Honestly, I’m still on the fence with this one, as the first episode didn’t give me a clear idea of what’s going to develop into. The story seems a bit odd – a world where people from two nations in war can interact with each other while inside ‘neutral’ cities is a bit strange. The story’s introduction was also weird. The main character decides to release a prisoner and is arrested for doing so. But after one year, the higher-ups decide to release him because they need his strength? And let’s not talk about the underwhelming welcoming party he got from his squad members. I don’t know; there are various red flags that make me wonder whether this is going to be a good watch or not.
What made me give it a chance was the Anime’s romantic factor. Right off the bat, you can see that both main characters will fall for each other, even if their nations are at war. This Romeo and Juliet setting is nothing new, but it’s still good enough to grab my attention. I’m not very fond of how similar the main characters are to Sword Art Online. Not only do they share similar physique, but the male protagonist even fights with two swords. I’ll have to see how it goes. Hopefully, Kimi to Boku no Saigo can be interesting enough for it to be enjoyable throughout the 13 episodes. What are your thoughts on Kimi to Boku no Saigo’s first episode?
