Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 10 Discussion & Gallery

Honestly, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka’s episode 10 was a bit meh. For the first half, nothing really happened. We just got a scene where the king and his children discuss Shun’s new hero status. In the beginning, we got to see a bit of Kumoko, but it wasn’t really that funny or important. For the second half, we got the memories of a random guy that never appeared on the show. He’s supposed to be the strongest magician in the kingdom but failed to defeat the huge spider that was later killed by Shun’s brother. I think she’s Kumoko’s mother? I guess that the scene was just to explain how strong Kumoko can become.

However, this episode left me with a question that I haven’t thought of before. From what I could understand, the kids who were transported to this world reincarnated as babies. This happened somewhat 16 years ago. Still, Kumoko only hatched at the beginning of the season, when the other characters were already teenagers. So, my question is why Kemoko took so much time to reincarnate. It’s unlikely that the egg took 16 years to hatch, right?
