Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 12 Discussion & Gallery

Considering that Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? episode 12 focused on the battle between Kumoko and the earth dragon, there’s not much I have to discuss. The fight by itself was well-executed, and I love how neck-to-neck it was. Kumoko almost died once or twice throughout the battle, which makes sense since she was under-leveled for that boss. More surprising was the fact that she felt bad for the earth dragon at the end. And I feel that’s just the beginning of her love for monsters, which will trigger the reason behind her objective of becoming the demon lord.

Yes – we finally got confirmation that Kumoko is the demon lord! It seems my friend was right, after all. But I wonder what made her change her personality so much. I mean, as a demon lord, she seems far more arrogant than when she was in spider form. I’m not sure what happened to make her this way. I’m guessing she will witness some horrible stuff down the road, which will increase her hatred for humans. I mean, if she ends up siding with the monsters, it’s understandable that she doesn’t like their killers that much, right? Did you enjoy Kumo Desu ga, Nani Ka’s episode 12? 1. She was human once and she will probably have some favorable memories of some of the humans she was with. I don’t see her going over to the dark side. She might just be very picky about who she annihilates.

  2. …you know that feeling, when you accidentally got a pretty significant spoiler that sheds a new light on pretty much *everything,* and it’s all one can do to *not* spoil it for others? Yeah, that’s me, when you say, “Kumoko becomes the demon lord.” It’s a little bit more complicated than that, heh. For a hint: watch the second intro.
