Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 3 Discussion & Gallery

Am I the only one who only cares about Kumoko in Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? I mean, all the other characters just seem a bit disjointed from the Anime story. I couldn’t care less about the handsome prince, the funny dragon, or the annoying fire magician. Until they reach Kumoko, they don’t really need to appear on the screen. I also didn’t understand what was the big deal about Feirune getting the kin-eater title. I realize that cannibalism is pretty messed up, but considering she maintained her human mind, it’s not like she’s 100% dragon – more like a human stuck into a dragon’s body.

I would love to say that the animation was enough to make up for the half of the episode being focused on the humans. But it did not. I do love the 3D visuals inside the cave. However, they only work that well because most of the scene is in 3D. The moment they mixed that huge 3D dragon with characters traditionally designed, it looked terrible. At least we got some funny Kumoko jokes at the beginning of the episode. She clearly is the soul of this Anime and the cutest spider in the world. Did you enjoy Kumo Desu ga, Nani Ka?
