Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 4 Discussion & Gallery

Kumo desu ga, Nani Ka? episodes that focus solely on the protagonist are so much better. Really, I don’t care at all about the other characters living their human lives in their human kingdom. I just need the cutest spider in the world trying to survive in some sort of dark dungeon to be happy! It goes without saying, I loved Kumo desu ga, Nani Ka? episode four!

It’s already a given that when Kumoko is on the screen, we’re up to some good laughs, and episode four didn’t disappoint. From the spider running from all types of strong monsters to imagining herself as the popular (venomous) spider in high school and all the funny tricks she had to do to survive the attack from all the existing monkeys in that dungeon – the episode was truly fun to watch.

What I wasn’t expecting was such a smooth action animation. Even if it’s in 3D, I was surprised at how good the action scenes were. I mean, we still hadn’t the opportunity to watch such an action-heavy episode, so while the animation seemed good, there wasn’t much to comment on. Not this time around! Especially Kumoko’s movement while dodging enemies’ attacks, everything was beautifully done. On top of that, the scenes where Kumoko almost died were kinda dark! I wasn’t expecting them, and it made the episode even better… Although I don’t really want to see my favorite spider getting hurt. Hmm, I guess I’ll need to sit and think about my priorities when it comes to gore scenes. Did you enjoy Kumo desu ga, Nani Ka? episode four? Tell me everything down below. ?
