Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 6 Discussion & Gallery

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? was able to deceive me a little bit. I actually thought that the hero and his entourage were looking for Kumoko when they mentioned a strong spider they needed to kill. Of course, that didn’t make much sense as nobody knows about Kumoko yet, and the monster they were hunting was a different kind of spider. I wonder if Kumoko will get to the same stage like that one. I mean, she would be strong as hell, but her cuteness would completely disappear…

The episode also focused on Kumoko’s fight against a new lava beast. I didn’t find the battle hilarious this time around, but the Anime did an excellent job when it came to the animation. I know that this is easier to do when the animation is 3D. Still, I loved how dynamic the fight was. There were a few jokes that were able to make me laugh, though. The way that the snake’s tail creaked like a door and Kumoko’s conversation with her clone/herself was pretty entertaining.

Finally, I’m happy to see that Kumoko got to the form she appears with at the beginning of the outro. The spikes don’t benefit the cute factor, but at least I no longer feel I’m watching spoilers every time the Anime ends. Did you enjoy Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? episode 6?
