Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 7 Discussion & Gallery

You probably already know that I don’t enjoy Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? as much when Kumoko doesn’t appear for long. However, episode seven was able to catch my interest even if it focused on the humans’ side. Their story is finally getting somewhere, and I’m intrigued about the professor’s power of getting admin rights and strip all skills and levels away from anyone she wants. Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, we saw that the demon likely has the same power, as she promised Hugo power in trade for his loyalty. I do wonder where this leaves Kumoko and what part will she have in this side of the story, though. Maybe she will help everyone out, even if she ends up becoming the new demon lord? We’ll see.

Another great aspect of this episode was the animation supporting Schlain and Hugo’s fight. Even though it wasn’t in 3D like Kumoko’s battles, the animation was great and fluid. It really showed that Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? might have some awesome fights in the future that can be at the same level as other popular Animes like Jujutsu Kaisen.
