Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 9 Discussion & Gallery

I can’t say that Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka offers a novel idea when it comes to the main story. Isekais where demons fight humans aren’t unheard of, and most of this Anime’s creativity comes in a spider form. Still, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in the plot. On the one hand, Shun’s reaction to his brother’s death was well executed. On the other hand, the mystery behind the world’s admin is quite interesting.

I say this because Isekai administrators don’t usually interact with the world itself. When they do, it’s to either help the main character or to save the world. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case for Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka. Instead, the guy just seems to have fun while watching chaos spreading throughout the kingdom. It does offer a nice twist to the story, as it will probably implicate some difficult challenges for Kumoko to overcome.

I’m also questioning how the story is going to develop from here, as the Anime seems to have reached a slope. First, Kumoko is extremely powerful at the moment but still needs to get out of that freaking lava cavern. Secondly, Shun is not ready to fill his brother’s shoes, which raises the question of whether he will be able to protect the kingdom from the demons’ attack.
