Munou na Nana Episode 1 Discussion & Gallery

I’m really happy with this season’s Anime line-up. I would never expect to have so many psychological/horror Animes coming out. The moment I saw Munou na Nana’s teaser, I knew I had to watch it! It just screamed my favorite Anime genre – mysterious stories where most things are not what meets the eye. Fortunately, episode 1 delivered, and I wasn’t expecting that ending at all.

I try to start new Anime shows without knowing much about it. There are a few titles that try to implement plot twists right off the bat, and I’ve been spoiled too many times to know better. That was the case for Munou na Nana. If you haven’t watched episode 1, I highly recommend to skip this article and watch it yourself because the story is completely different from what it seems in the beginning.

Munou na Nana already had picked my interest by showing a school located on an island where kids with superpowers study to defeat some kind of a dangerous monster to society. Even if the show went with what the premise seemed to be at the beginning of the episode, I would be happy. However, I did find some things being explained a bit odd that didn’t add up. But I would never guessed that the female main character is just a human with the missions to kill all her classmates. I actually thought the show was going to be around Nanao, who ended up to be the first victim (or so it seems… Since I didn’t see the body, I don’t know if I believe it – learned the hard way that I can’t trust Munou na Nana).
