Munou na Nana Episode 8 Discussion & Gallery

They say that serial killers become more confident with each successful murder. This usually leads to slipups, and it’s when they’re finally caught by the police. It seems Munou na Nana follows the same logic. I found it a bit weird that Nana would kill someone in the heat of the moment. Although it seemed too good to be true, this murder was completely different from the other ones. Until now, she always killed after thorough planning it or when pushed into a corner. This time around, she just killed the snake girl because she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Well, maybe she was scared that Kirara would find the corpses and do the math. Still, the rushed killing led to the very first (major) slip up.

Even so, for something she planned on the spot, the double murder was quite interesting. Not only did she kill Kirara, but she even made all the arrangements to kill the girl’s best friend and make it seem Kirara was the murder. Unfortunately for Nana, Kyouya caught up with everything. I have to say that it was kind of dub of Nana to open the window so fast when she realized that it had a trick to it earlier. It just seems a mistake the character wouldn’t make. You may say that her cute persona would rush to the window to help Kyouya. Even so, her inner self would have the cold blood to think about how to do everything without giving everyone the idea that she had already been in that room. Or, maybe (just maybe) she was actually concerned about Kyouya – she already showed some second-thoughts when she killed the necromancer girl.

Regardless of all this, everything falls into the gigantic cliffhanger at the end of the episode. I’m going to say that she doesn’t have the mobile phone with her. We’re made believe that Kyouya has been looking closely at her all afternoon, to the point that she wouldn’t be able to dispose of the device. Still, I’m pretty sure there’s going to be some amazing way she found to hide the phone or something like that. Another option is that she’s going to tell some farfetched story that everyone is going to believe. We all know that (besides Kyouya) everyone is quite gullible in Munou na Nana.
