Mushoku Tensei Episode 5 Discussion & Gallery
Mushoku Tensei’s episode five improved quite a bit. There weren’t as many sexual references as in the previous episode (not that it would be difficult), and I could focus on the story at hand. It’s nice to see Rudy outside his house and get a better overview of the Anime’s society. Living in a town is very different from living in the countryside, and I think we’ll better understand how the world works.
The episode itself was enjoyable. I had a lot of fun watching it, and the idea of Rudy having to prove himself to get a job opened the door for some exciting events. I wasn’t expecting that Rudy and Eris would actually be abducted, though. And the Anime became quite dark in some scenes. I mean, until now Mushoku Tensei followed (kind of) a light fantasy story. But after watching Eris beat to a pulp and Ghyslaine cutting through the kidnappers’ bodies, I believe there’s more to this Anime than what meets the eye.
Honestly, I never had any feelings for Tsunderes. Taiga from Toradora! is probably the only Tsundare that I ended up loving, and Eris is still miles away from reaching such a well-constructed character. So, at least for now, Eris just seems your usual Tsundere, following most (if not all) the tropes. I do hope that they make something more with the character to make it more complex and individual. If not, she’s just going to end in my side of the brain that groups all the generic Tsunderes together and can’t actually tell each girl apart. Did you enjoy Mushoku Tensei’s episode five? Tell me everything down below. ?
