What to say about Otherside Picnic’s episode 11 – I was expecting much more. First of all, it doesn’t make sense that the characters didn’t know that time passes slower on the otherside. Secondly, since they don’t know about this fact, it doesn’t make sense for them to go back to the otherside to save the soldiers after so much time has passed. I mean, who would survive so much time in that place? This episode should have aired way sooner. I would place it after the beach episode. The way it is, it just seems that they didn’t care about the soldiers for a long time.

But, ok – they went there and want to save the soldiers – good for them! I was expecting an over-the-top episode, full of scary monsters and nerve-racking moments. Instead, the episode was way too slow-paced. A lot of time was spent with the soldiers moving from one place to another, the same way the Anime focused too much on the girls just sitting on top of the tank. This episode really could be amazing, but it felt short – there was too much walking and too much speaking.

It’s also annoying that we’re at episode 11, and no actual yuri moments have happened so far. It’s clear that the protagonists are into each other. And, on the one hand, it’s refreshing to see an Anime where it doesn’t focus too much on the protagonists being gay. Still, I would expect a scene or two where there was some sexual tension between the girls. They’re adults, after all. Hopefully, this will change on the Anime’s last episode.
