Otherside Picnic Episode 5 Discussion & Gallery

Things are starting to get crazy in Otherside Picnic. This time around, the girls are transported to the otherside without even trying. I guess the hat can be the culprit, but there’s something going on that is pulling them inside. Monsters/spirits are even visiting the real world to interact with them – really creepy! I wonder how much time it will take for the protagonists to start to doubt whether they’re in the real world or the otherside.

One thing I loved about the episode was the army group that randomly appeared. Of course, they were key to save Sorawo and Toriko, as they didn’t have anything to protect themselves. Still, the idea of having humans wandering on the otherside for a month without finding a way out changes the game a little bit. Until now, it seemed that a lot of effort was required to enter the otherside. This way, only the people who carefully studied the rumors would find the entrance. However, since people can actually enter the otherside without realizing it, the story opens up to many possible encounters in the future.

It’s also difficult to pinpoint where the girls are. I mean, they just found a platoon that entered the otherside from Okinawa. This is quite far from Tokyo, and I wonder where they are going to end up when they finally get back. Finally, I loved the machine with the corpses hanging in his belly. It was extremely creepy and creative – something that Otherside Picnic wasn’t always able to pull off with its strange monsters. Did you enjoy Otherside Picnic episode 5?
