Otherside Picnic Episode 7 Discussion & Gallery

I guess this was a good way for Otherside Picnic to have a fanservice episode without straying away from the main story. Episode seven was able to have our characters at the beach, wearing bathing suits while on the otherside. Although the way they ended up there is quite a mystery, I’ll give it some points for effort.

But yeah, the episode didn’t offer much more than the protagonists drinking some beer while sunbathing and practicing shooting at some random logs that appeared nearshore. I don’t really understand why they would get stuck in the otherside after catching the train from the previous episode, though. Unlike when they were sent to the otherside because of the spirit’s hat, there wasn’t an explanation of how they got there this time around. Moreover, it also didn’t make sense why all of their things (umbrellas and the cooler) were also transported to the real world. Didn’t they find those things on the otherside?

Moreover, the episode had a lot of conveniences attached to it, where the protagonists were able to do everything they wanted because it happened that way. For instance, using the hat to come back to the other side was a bit stupid. It makes sense that it works, but I really can’t understand why they didn’t use the hat on the previous episode.
