Tonikaku Kawaii Episode 1 Discussion & Gallery

I’m a sucker for romantic comedies. So, it’s not surprising that I decided to follow Tonikaku Kawaii this Fall Season. I’m happy to say that the first episode delivered what I was looking for. The first few minutes are hilarious (even with a car accident involved), and the plot is quite unique.

In the world of Anime, romantic comedies are usually about two characters who fall in love throughout the story. In Tonikaku Kawaii’s case, the characters get married right on episode one. So, the question arises – what the hell are they going to go from here? I’m quite excited to see a plotline that I don’t remember ever watching.

I’m also curious to see the main characters interact, as they both seem to be more than what meets the eye. Tsukasa is just mysterious, period. There’ no way that someone who gets hit by a truck like that is able to continue their life as nothing happened. On the other hand, Nasa seems a complex character altogether, as he looks both self-assured and insecure at the same time. Honestly, I’m just happy that he isn’t a complete idiot like another male protagonist *cof* Kanojo, Okarishimasu *cof*.

In short, I’m excited to see how Tonikaku Kawaii and I can’t wait to have the time to watch episode two.
