Yakusoku no Neverland Season 2 Episode 4 Discussion & Gallery

I ask myself when Yakusoku no Neverland is coming back to the suspense story that we love. Until now, there’s really no feeling of distress. I mean, sure, the kids are running away from monsters, and they can be found at any time (like we could see at the end of this episode), but I really miss those scenes that made my heart stop in expectation of what was going to happen next. While the intro shows quite a dark story, we still haven’t seen that in the actual episodes.

Maybe everything is going to change in the next episode, as the kids had to leave the shelter to run away from the humans working for the demons. I do have some questions, though – how the hell did the demons know exactly where they are? Secondly, why are they using humans instead of demons? I’m not even wondering why humans are helping in the first place. I just think that demons would have a better chance to catch them due to their superior physique and sense of smell.

The only thing that picked my interest was the deal that the demons made with the mother at the end of the episode. I wonder what was the bargain to make her change her thoughts so quickly. Maybe they said that they would release all kids of inferior quality, and it’s a thing about killing a few to save the many? Or maybe Mother has an actual child, and they promised that she and her kid could leave after our protagonists were caught.
