As a way to help all the fans who have a lot of questions about the Anime, I decided to come up with a FAQ page answering the most searched Jujutsu Kaisen questions on Google. What is Jujutsu Kaisen About?

The literal meaning of Jujutsu Kaisen is ‘Sorcery Fight’. So, you can expect magic and a lot of battles. The main plot, though, focuses on Yuji Itadori – a sporty teenager who ends up eating a cursed finger in a time of need. Because of this, he ends up being the vessel to Sukuna – the strongest curse there is in the world. Since he’s able to refrain Sukuna from coming out, a feat that only he was able to pull off, he enrolls in a school for Jujutsu sorcerers. His main objective is to eat Sukuna’s ten fingers and become the curse’s full vessel, as this is the only way to actually kill Sukuna. However, in order to do so, Itadori will have to die by the end of it. Throughout his adventures, he meets several other Jujutsu sorcerers, who end up becoming friends with him.

Is Jujutsu Kaisen a Shonen?

Yes, Jujutsu Kaisen is considered a shonen. However, I would say that it’s more of a darker shonen. Although I don’t find it scary, there are some gory moments with a lot of blood, and some cures can be quite gruesome.

Who are the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Jujutsu Kaisen comes with many characters, each one having their screen time. So, it’s understandable why people are wondering who are the characters appearing in this Anime.

Who is the Main Character?

The main character in Jujutsu Kaisen is Yuji Itadori – the guy who becomes Sukuna’s vessel. However, you can also consider his teammates – Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki – as main characters too. The reason is that the Anime also focuses on both of these characters and their personal stories. Moreover, since they usually fight curses in groups of three, they’re regularly near Itadori.

Who is Sukuna?

Sukuna is the curse who’s using Itadori as its vessel. Some people compare it to Kurama from Naruto. However, there’s a big difference – there’s no way that Sukuna will befriend Itadori down the line. His main objective is to take over Itadori’s body and reborn once again.

Who is Tengen?

Tengen, also referred to as Master Tengen, still hasn’t appeared on the Anime series. However, he’s a recurring character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and he’s an immortal jujutsu sorcerer that lives in their chambers to reinforce the barriers that protect both Jujutsu Schools locations.

Who is Yuta?

Yuta Okkotsu is the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen’s prequel – Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The character was initially a special grade curse, but Satoru Gojo mentored him and enrolled him at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Currently, he’s a second-year student at the protagonists’ school but hasn’t appeared in the Jujutsu Kaisen season one because he was studying overseas.

Who is Choso?

Choso is a supporting antagonist that appears at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen’s season one. He’s the eldest brother of Kechizu and Eso, and all three have sided with Mahito’s group. In the Anime, he hasn’t still shown any of his powers, but he’s quite angry with the protagonists due to his siblings’ fate.

Who is Geto?

Suguru Geto is one of the main antagonists both in Jujutsu Kaisen and its prequel. I don’t want to make any spoilers, but at least I can tell you that he’s a dark jujutsu sorcerer who has teamed up with special grade cursers to destroy the world.

Who is Mahito?

Mahito can be seen as Geto’s second in command. He’s a cursed spirit with gigantic strength, making him almost impossible to kill.

Who is Tsumiki?

Tsumiki Fushiguro is Megumi’s stepsister. She’s the main reason why Megumi decided to join as a jujutsu sorcerer, as she has fallen to a curse that has put her to sleep indefinitely.

Who is Mei Mei?

Mei Mei is a grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer. She’s independent of the schools and will do anything for the right price. She was also a senpai of Satoru Gojo when they were both studying.

What Is the Age Rating for Jujutsu Kaisen?

MAL rates Jujutsu Kaisen R – 17 due to the violence and profanity included in the series.

Is Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Finished?

Yes – Jujutsu Kaisen season finished after episode 24, which aired throughout the Anime Winter Season of 2021.

Will Jujutsu Kaisen have a season 2?

Considering Jujutsu Kaisen’s popularity, the Anime is definitely going to have more episodes. Still, at the time of writing (April 2021), no official announcement was made by the Anime studio MAPPA.

Even so, a movie adapting the Anime’s prequel – Jujutsu Kaisen 0 – has been announced. There’s still no official date, though.

Is Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Finished?

Jujutsu Kaisen manga hasn’t finished yet. But the author has revealed that the story will probably end in less than two years.

Where is Jujutsu Kaisen at in the manga

At the time of writing this FAQ (April 2021), the manga is on chapter 144, which starts the Culling Game Arc. I won’t add much more than this because of spoilers, but you can get more info here.

Where Does Jujutsu Kaisen Air?

You can watch Jujutsu Kaisen (legally) on Crunchyroll, VRV, and HBOmax. Crunchyroll and VRV allow you to watch the Anime for free, but with ads. The Anime is also available on Netflix, but only in Japan. You can use a VPN to bypass the geo-restrictions but bear in mind that the series won’t have any subtitles whatsoever.

What Is Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Domain expansion is one of the strongest powers both jujutsu sorcerers, and special grade curses can have. They create a type of barrier that transports everyone near the user and traps them inside the user’s innate domain. Basically, when inside, the user’s cursed techniques are even stronger and cannot be avoided.

What Is Black Flash In Jujutsu Kaisen?

Black Flash is an even more difficult attack to master than domain expansion. It increases the user’s physical strenght tremendously but can only be done when the sorcerer is able to apply their cursed energy within one-millionth of a second.
