Kai Byoui Ramune Episode 8 Discussion & Gallery

I expected a bit more of Kai Byoui Ramune’s episode eight. I understand that the purpose of the episode was to focus on Kuro and how he cares for people, even with his aloof personality. Still, the way the family solved the problem was far too shallow. I mean, the guy said such an awful lie to his son because he doesn’t want him to go with his life and live abroad. However, his wife doesn’t seem to be that mad about it. I guess that you could see its motives as cute. Even so, parents should never break their children’s wings for such a selfish reason.

Nonetheless, I liked seeing Kuro doing his best to retrieve Shun’s popcorn to heal him. It gave a nice twist to the character, and he was adorable when he thanked Ramune. Other than that, things were solved in a very easy way and glossed over the ramifications of Shun’s father’s toxic behavior. In short, it was an ok episode that had the potential for more. At least Shun’s mom seems to be a great parent, so I’m sure Shun will be in good hands from now on. And, not gonna lie, I loved Ramune’s dissing Shun’s father – he so deserves it!
