Otherside Picnic Episode 9 Discussion & Gallery
After episode nine, I can confidently say that Otherside Picnic will have an episodical approach where the protagonists help several random people until they find Uruma. Although each event is giving some hints on who Uruma really is and unveiling the mystery around her, I have to say that this wouldn’t be the approach I would go for.
Take episode nine as an example. Overall, it was good. The idea behind an old woman visiting people’s houses to take their teeth is terrifying. Still, the overall conclusion I got from all that is that the episode felt a bit shallow. For instance, I felt nothing regarding the new character story. Why would I? She just randomly appeared on episode nine! And even if the show did its best to offer some sort of foundation to make her the most three-dimension possible, it didn’t work. But that’s the problem with episodical Anime – side characters leave so quickly that they don’t have enough screen time to enter our hearts.
Still, the episode did show Sorawo using a new power. How did she manage to know how to use such power? I don’t know. Why is she able to manipulate people like puppets just by looking at them? There wasn’t an explanation. So, am I overjoyed about this new superpower that came from nowhere? Nope! Otherside Picnic had an excellent premise. It even created a wonderful (and scary) world where the character can dwell upon. But the execution is lacking, and the story is falling apart. Instead of watching these two girls bonding together while they can’t find a way to leave the otherside, we’re just watching mildly entertaining events about characters I don’t really care about. Did you enjoy Otherside Picnic’s episode nine? Tell me everything down below. ?
I’ll be adding new galleries throughout the season as new episodes come out. Enjoy! If you have a website and want to use one of my images, feel free to do so. I’ll be happy if you backlink to this article, but it’s not mandatory.
