Akudama Drive Episode 5 Discussion & Gallery

In a nutshell, Akudama Drive’s episode five had a drastic change of pace. Instead of an action-heavy episode, we got to slow down for a moment and get to know the main characters and the strange siblings a bit more. I have to start by saying that I was sad about Hacker leaving the group – I found myself falling in love with the character throughout the episodes. Still, it made sense that he wanted to continue and reach the holistic kingdom. As Doctor said, they aren’t doing the job for the money alone, which makes me wonder why she’s into it. I’m guessing they are all excited to see whether they can pull off such a challenging job.

The rest of the episode was a build-up for whatever comes next. On one side, we saw the Akudama group coming up with a plan to deliver the kids to their destination. On the other side, we saw the exorcists pulling all their guns to catch the criminals. There’s really not much to say about it. I still enjoyed it, and it was nice to see the Akudama doing something as normal as talk and eat their favorite meals. I guess the main highlights for me was the Anime hinting that the kids may be robots (as they don’t need to eat) and see the cute interaction between Swindler and Courier. I really hope they end up together, as they would make a nice (though a bit dysfunctional) couple. Did you enjoy Akudama Drive episode five? Tell me everything down below. ?
