I’m Standing on a Million Lives Episode 4 Discussion & Gallery
From I’m Standing on a Million Lives episode four, I’m guessing the author didn’t actually know where to go with his characters. While the background story for Iu was quite alright, and I enjoyed understanding how she got her resolve. There’s no way around the fact that Yuusuke ever-changing personality is off-putting. If he finally seems like a decent person who suffered some character evolution in one scene, in the other, he’s back to his darker self, where he puts himself above everyone else. Meanwhile, he gets even another change of heart later in the episode and actually saves Iu and the girls? Well, I don’t get him, but I would imagine characters should have a slow evolution, not just change personality all time.
The author also seems to be indecisive regarding whether to go darker or not. In this case, I’m speaking about the bandits’ rape attempt that is completely glossed over. Why would you even hint that would happen, just to make a “funny” bit where you can see the girls fought their way out by the bandit’s red face? The thing I thought when Yuusuke said that she couldn’t die was that there are worse things than dying. While I don’t like the idea of any of the girls getting advantage of, it also doesn’t make sense to hint at such a serious matter and not do anything about it. Moreover, it was an excellent opportunity to show Yuusuke that things aren’t as straightforward as he thinks and provide some character evolution material. But, well, at this point, I’m not waiting for much. Did you enjoy I’m Standing on Million Lives episode four? Tell me everything down below. ?
