Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Episode 12 Discussion & Gallery

I loved Higurashi’s episode 12! Finally, we got to see a bit more about who’s running the village. Until now, the story about the dam almost looked like a bedtime story. However, as we got to meet the people behind, everything became a bit more real. It seems I was correct, though – this arc is going to be a bit different from the others. I mean, Keiichi is almost becoming the village’s hero. Not only the mayor liked him, but even Shion and Mion’s grandma ended up accepting him.

Speaking about the grandma – it’s probably my favorite scene of Higurashi so far! I know this wasn’t the idea, but I found it hilarious to watch Keiichi telling the mob grandma that he will kill her if necessary. It wasn’t, though. By showing that he’s resilient, Keiichi found a place in the grandma’s heart, and she decided to concede this one to him. Another thing that I notice is that no one (besides those two random strangers) spoke about the deity’s curse yet. I wonder what is going to happen – the arc probably will end up on a bad note, and I can’t imagine why or how. Did you enjoy Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou’s episode 12?
