Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Episode 2 Discussion & Gallery
As Low As $29.99 for Demon Slayer

Honestly, I’m a bit sad that I didn’t watch the original – I don’t have a clue whether the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni remake is following the main story by heart or not. That being said, I believe it was a great second episode. Unlike what I initially thought, no deaths happened, and the suspense left at the end of the last episode was quickly resolved. This is typical for this kind of media, teasing us that something is going to happen various times so that when someone actually dies, we’re not expecting it.

At the beginning of episode two, we also got a bit of insight into what’s happening. For some reason, Rika shows up speaking with a goddess (?) or something like that, and it seems the story is going to be a bit like Steins;Gate – there are various parallel worlds where the main characters die in most of them. Like a good mystery Anime, the story didn’t unveil much more, which is the perfect way to make me continue watching the Anime, wondering what the hell is actually happening.

The rest of the episode didn’t add much. The characters played Zombie tag for the most part and then went to a festival. I have to say that I loved Rika’s performance. The animation was beautiful and, although the dance is relatively slow, the close-shots are stunning. At the same time, we meet another female character, but we only got to see her name, nothing more. I’m betting that she’s also going to try to discover what happened to the guy who was killed several years ago in that village. What about you? I’ll be adding new galleries throughout the season as new episodes come out. Enjoy! If you have a website and want to use one of my images, feel free to do so ? I’ll be happy if you backlink to this article, but it’s not mandatory ?
