Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun Episode 4 Discussion & Gallery
I have to say, Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun scored some points with episode four. All the main problems I had with the Anime were swiftly fixed in this episode. One of them being Tomozaki coming out clean to Fuuka regarding the books he faked liking. I mean, that was a big chunk of my opinion last episode, so I’m thrilled that Tomozaki heard the voice of reason and acted accordingly.
It also felt great to see Tomozaki defending Takahiro. It was the first time we saw the character speaking for himself and, even though it was about the game (and his speech could be a bit less cringy), I loved to see that stupid b*** hearing some. I really hate girls like her, who think they’re at the top of the world just because they’re popular in high school. And this is coming from someone who was perceived as popular in high school, so it’s not like I have a personal vendetta against this type of character or anything. I guess the best thing I can say about the character is that it’s quite realistic to the shallow students I came across while in high school and college.
Finally, I’m excited about Aoi and Fumiya’s relationship development. The episode ended with both speaking about going on something like a date, and it’s easy to see that Fumiya has fallen in love with the cute girl already. I think what I like the most about this is that Aoi seems to have developed feelings for Fumiya when he was acting like himself. The show could easily fall into the mistake of having Aoi only falling in love with the guy after ‘building’ him to what she sees as the perfect man. Thankfully, this mistake was avoided.
