Munou na Nana Episode 9 Discussion & Gallery
See – I told you that there would be some over-the-top scheme going on that would put Nana off the hook! It pains me to say this (I’m loving Munou na Nana, after all), but it was the worst explanation they could have come up with. There are several questions that I need to ask. Do corpses melt that fast? Also, how the hell did the smartphone accepted the melted hand as a click? Mine doesn’t even work if I have my hands slightly wet. In short, I don’t see how this complicated plan would work, and the Anime completely lost me on that one.
On the flip side, I was surprised (and interest) in Michiru’s personality turn. Although she acted completely out of character, it would be an excellent plot twist. The girl who seems to want to help everyone ends up having a twisted inner personality, just like Hiiragi. Unfortunately, that’s not what happened – a new character emerges, which I have to ask why it took him so long to appear. I mean, Hiiragi already killed her fair share. Why did he decide to show up just now? Of course, this is surprising for everyone, but not for the best reason. There were no indications whatsoever of having someone else living on that island. So, yeah, it’s a huge plot twist, and nobody saw it coming. But it was also impossible for anyone to even think this was going to happen in the first place.
The new character – Jin – has the strongest power of them all. He’s not only able to transform into anything he wants but when he transforms into another person with superpowers, he also gains the superpower itself. From the poison scene, he also seems to be able to change rather quickly. So, my next question is – why didn’t he just took over the world?
The former students killing each other is what surprised me the most in this episode. I thought that a similar story had happened, but I guess I was wrong. If we consider that these people killed each other just to be the leader, it makes sense that humans are kind of scared about them. I mean, can you imagine if those former students went to the real world and started fighting in the middle of Tokyo? They might be extreme measures, but I understand why they’re required.
