Who Is The Cinderella in Hensuki?

Hello everyone and welcome to the Anime Shelter! 🙂 Today, I’m going to talk about the harem of the Summer Season, Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasu ka? – Hensuki: Are You Willing to Fall in Love with a Pervert, as Long as She’s a Cutie? in English.

If you have been following my posts for a while, you know that harem, ecchi Animes are not really my thing. However, as always, I’ll try to be the most neutral possible regarding the subject and give my honest opinion about Hensuki.

Who Is The Cinderella?

I see Hensuki has a dirtier Gotoubun no Hanayome, the popular harem that came out in the 2019 Winter Season that made everyone ask who was the Main Character’s bride. Like Gotoubun, Hensuki also delivers an intriguing question at the beginning of the story with the objective to grab the audience. In this case, it’s not about who is the bride, but who is the Cinderella that loves Keiki, the MC.

One day, while staying behind to finish cleaning the literature club, Keki finds a love letter. With it, he also finds a pair of female panties. Yes, the way this mysterious girl decided to confess her love was by giving the guy a pair of her panties. From there, Keiki has a mission, find the girl who is in love with him.

However, things turn in a very different way than he thought. While trying to find the Cinderella, he ends up discovering that all girls who were with him that afternoon have different fetishes. Until episode 3, Keiki tried to understand if it was either the cold, and unapproachable senpai, Sayuki, or if it was the cute Yuika. Well, what he ended up discovering was that Sayuki has a fetish of being treated like a dog, while Yuika has the opposite fetish and loves to be in a master position.

To be honest, I’m almost certain that the Cinderalla will be Mizuha, the Keiki’s younger sister. Not only she is the girl that he completely disregards while trying to figuring out who confessed to him, but she would also fall in the brother-love complex. Something that blends well in the Anime’s theme of fetishes. Nevertheless, in the end, it’s easy to see that every girl is in love with him, in their own ecchi way.

Is Hensuki Good?

When it comes to the story, I feel that Hensuki follows a general harem plot. Contrary to Gotoubun, which was able to grab me through interesting and complex characters, Hensuki seems more interested in delivering fanservice. Something that I’m not against and I’m sure it will work fine for some of you… Not for me, though.

The animation is below average. Although the close-ups are very well done and full of detail, when the characters are a little far away, it’s easy to see the rough edges and not so good animation. However, the eye design is unique, and it works wonders, making it my favorite part of the Anime.

When it comes to the fanservice, it’s well done, but know that is NSFW at all. In other words, try not to watch this while in public, unless you want to get some strange looks from the people around you. Although it’s not hentai, the Anime really goes for it, and it’s way dirtier than a panty shot, or the MC falling on top of one of the female characters.

Unfortunately, the characters are not that interesting. Don’t take me wrong, for the ones I’ve met so far, the characters are nice at face-value. However, they don’t bring anything new to the game, neither the Anime seems to for the character development route. Honestly, it’s a bummer since, if it did, it could grab another type of audience that does not love fanservice like me.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, Animes to be good have to do one of the following: come with interesting and unique characteristics, different from the average; or, when going for the stereotypes, excel in what they provide. Unfortunately, Hensuki doesn’t provide either. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bad Anime, it just means it’s average. In other words, if you are a fan of the ecchi, harem genres, then you probably will enjoy it. However, you will also feel that you have seen everything this Anime shows to you. If you are not into the genre, then you should just pass this one 🙂
