Arthifis Here! Welcome to Our New Place

Hello everyone and welcome to our new, brand place! 🙂

It’s been ages since I wanted to write this! I hope that you share a little bit of my excitement. The website is completely different and it even has a new name and all – Anime Shelter!

Basically, today’s post is going to be about what the idea behind Anime Shelter is and what is going to change.

What Is Anime Shelter?

Contrary to Arthifis Place which is/was a personal blog, Anime Shelter is the first step towards my objective which I think everyone knows by now. This objective is to create a website Anime related which will grow (and give money) to the point of being able to hire other writers. Of course, this is not something that will happen in a day, or two… In fact, it will take probably years, but that’s the idea!

Moreover, I wanted to maintain the same concept behind Arthifis Place. Meaning, I wanted the website to be seen as a place where Anime Lovers hangout. This way, after many attempts I was able to find this domain still free. To be honest, the name is even better than I imagined. This, because a shelter is something where people go to protect themselves of something. This way, Anime shelter is a place where Anime Lovers can hangout and be protected from all the hate that lives in the Internet. Here, you can give your honest opinion about everything and not get tons of hate as you may receive in the World of Social Media. I will make sure of that.

What Is Going To Change?

Well, the content is going to change. Contrary to Arthifis Place where I wrote about anything that came to my mind, Anime Shelter will be focusing on Anime. This means that many gaming posts (as also some personal posts) didn’t make the cut.

Basically, when it comes to gaming I will only post game reviews that I feel that are somewhat connected to the Anime Universe. So, for example, my Dragon Age review had to go. To be honest, I don’t really mind this and it will just make me try other games I never would try.

My blogging tips will still coming out, being the first one about the process of changing from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. Moreover, I will continue to post personal posts when they make sense.

So, in the end, most of it will be the same 🙂 However, due to “strategic” reasons, I will be getting more into seasonal stuff. Something that I wanted to do this Fall Season but failed completely xD This way, expect an Ultimate Guide to appear at the end of January.

When it comes to you interacting with me (and with each other) little will change. You will still be able to find my posts on the Reader – I basically installed JetPack just for that – as also like my posts. When it comes to commenting, you still will be able to comment through the reader. But, if you prefer to read my posts on my website (Thank you by the way), you will have to fill a little more info, basically name, email, and website. But, in the end, it will appear as before, it will just grab your Gravatar and basically appear as before. Try to comment down below to try it out!

I changed the commenting system because the one I’m using is way better than the Jetpack one.

Of course, with more possibilites than before, I’ll be creating a Newsletter and, if you prefer to receive a weekly email with everything I posted I invite you to do it. However, it is still not on for now ahah

Is Everything Ready?

The short answer is no! In fact, there are still many things to do. At this point, I would say that the overall design is completed as also the commenting system. I also have installed most of the Plug-Ins I want to use so the website is safer and faster. Moreover, I’ve also created redirected links from Arthifis Place to Anime Shelter to all the posts which made the cute. Meaning, most of the posts now just have a small phrase saying that the post is here.

However, there is still much to be done. Things like configuring the AMP (to make it faster to mobile devices), social media, internal links, widgets (as you can see it’s still completely empty), contact forms, and more. Basically, there is still much to be done! I don’t even have a logo yet!

My objective is to have almost everything at the beginning of the year. As you probably know I’m hosting Jon Creator Showcase this month and I want to have everything settled when I publish that post 🙂

Is Arthifis Place Going To End?

Well, probably yes. The thing is when I migrated all of you to Anime Shelter I lost all the followers I had in Arthifis Place. So, even if I post anything there is not like you are going to read it 😛 So, yeah, probably it will. I won’t delete it for now since it has the redirect links. Moreover, even though my personal plan will end sooner or later I will maintain the blog as it is.

The truth is, if this website grows as much as I want it to, I will sooner or later need an outlet for me to write stuff that is not connected with Anime Shelter, what better way to do that than having a Personal Blog? However, for now, I’m already scared with all the work I have planned to do here in Anime Shelter 🙂

Concluding, welcome to our new place! I invite you to explore a little bit and see what I’ve done with the place! I hope you have as much fun as you ever did! The name is new, the design is new, but everything else stays the same and I will continue to write in the same way 🙂
