Learning How to Do Ecchi Magic Tricks With Tejina-Senpai

Learning How to Do Ecchi Magic Tricks With Tejina-Senpai

Hello everyone, and welcome to our shelter! 🙂 I swear that I’m not writing these titles on purpose, it just seems that the Summer Season is full of Animes that explains how to do stuff while being ecchi! If Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? taught us how to do exercise while looking sexy and Sounan Desu Ka? told us survival skills while at the same time giving fanservice, Tejina-Senpai is here to explain to us how to do magic tricks while being ecchi.

The Magic Teacher Who Is Not Able To Do a Single Magic Trick

Tejina-Senpai is about a cute, weird, and clumsy girl who loves magic, even though she has terrible stage fright. Although not great at magic, Tejina wants to start a school magic club, and, for that, she needs members. The first victim, eer… I mean, the first lucky person to become a member is a male character who doesn’t have a name and is called “Assistant” throughout the Anime.

However, it’s not because of magic that the Assistant stays in the club. It’s because of how Tejina is always able to put her beautiful body in the most exposing situations while trying to do a magic trick. I’m not kidding, I’m not even sure how she can put herself in some of them.

Unfortunately for us, little to no explanations about how to do a magic trick is done. Yeah, there are indeed some magic tricks that are explained. However, most of the episodes just go for the running gag of Tejina being clumsy as always and ending up showing her panties, bra, or whatever part of her body.

In other words, it’s more about fanservice than actual magic. Being the latter just the setting of whatever is going on during this Anime. It would be fine if the Anime ended up being funny or ecchi enough.

Tejina-Senpai Is Not That Funny

know, I know, funny is subjective. Just because it doesn’t make me laugh, it doesn’t mean it works the same way for you. The same goes for the ecchi stuff, I guess.

However, I find it hard to believe that the same running gag, over and over, will still make someone laugh. Tejina-Senpai’s episodes are cut in small events disconnected from each other. Most of the times, that event will be about Tejina trying to do a magic trick and failing. That’s the gist of it. Yeah, seeing Tejina getting tied in the ropes she is using for a magic trick may be fun for the first time. However, after that, I’m positive that it will lose its impact and won’t be funny in the second and third time around.

tejina-senpai fanservice

The same goes for the ecchi part. I’m ok with ecchi, there are even some Animes where I praised the ecchi element. However, Tejina-senpai just puts fanservice in a way too open and right in your face for my liking. Of course, it may work for you… However, since the ecchi scenes end up always being similar, I just think it loses interest after a while.

It also makes me a little sad to see a character like Tejina to be used just for the laughs and fanservice. Most of the times, the Anime passes the idea that she is a loser without friends, who tries to overcompensate through magic but ends up failing every time. Her goal in the Anime seems to make the viewer laugh or feel aroused by her body, and that’s it… To be honest, I believe she deserves way more than that.

Tejina-Senpai First Impressions

Honestly, Tejina-Senpai did not impress me. When it comes to comedy, I think, inside this concept, an Anime like Ueno-san wa Bukiyou! is funnier. However, other characters will appear on Tejina-Senpai, which may make things more entertaining.

When it comes to ecchi, others Animes coming out in the 2019 Summer Season like Sounan Desu Ka? and Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? are superior. But, again, it really depends on what you are into 😛

  1. Well you know me, I’m not a really huge fan of comedy anyways, so I would have probably given this a pass regardless (although admittedly I’m now watching Seki-kun which is a comedy and I’m having a blast with it). After reading this post though…it seems I’m nor really missing out on much! Great to see a post from you again though! Really missed you here! ?

    1. Well, you can always watch it for the fanservice! We all know you love THAT! hahaha Just kidding xD

Thanks! I just started a new job in the first of August so I’m still adjusting XP Moreover, since the job consists in 100% of writing, it makes sense that at night I’m not always ready to go write again, even if it’s for the blog 😛 But I think I will find a balance soon eheh

      1. Oh yes…fanservice is my middle name: You know me so well. In fact it’s another one of the many hidden features on my blog??
Great to hear about your new job, but then I understand that you have a little less time on your hands. I have found a bit of a better balance at the moment, and have written a lot of posts in advance for my return, so I can take it a little bit slower when writing new things ?
Good luck with the new job, and finding balance! ?

        1. Hahaha, you shouldn’t speak about your secret offer from your hidden patreon you know? 😛

Thanks! Really happy to hear that you were able to reach a balance! I was supposed to do that when I was on holidays, but I really needed a rest so… I didn’t write anything hahaha

Hopefully this weekend I’m able to advance some posts and Pinterest pins… God knows I need to get some time in order to organize everything xD

          1. Lol…shhh…Don’t spread the word now, you know you are one of those secret Patreons yourself right? ??
Well…rest is good my friend. There is more to life than blogging, so really take all the time you need. No matter how long it takes, we will all be waiting here ?

  2. I passed on starting this one. My watch list was already full and most of the early reviews made it sound like something I wasn’t going to enjoy. That said, I’ll probably try the first episode at some point just to confirm whether I’m happy with passing on it.
