Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Episode 1 Discussion & Gallery

I’ve watched all types of Isekais, even with characters turning into slimes. But I have to say, this is the first time I watch an Anime where the main character reincarnates as a spider. And, even I, who doesn’t like 3D animation that much, decided to follow this crazy adventure. Two things stand out the most in Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka’s first episode that makes it seem worthwhile.

First, the show is hilarious, mostly due to Kumoko. Not only is her animation pretty funny, but the voice actress did a great job impersonating the character. Of course, it also helps that a newborn spider gets into all kinds of trouble that a human couldn’t expect, such as eating disgusting food.

Secondly, the story does have something in there that can be interesting. At the end of the episode, we see that it wasn’t only Kumoko who came to this crazy world, but all of her class. Since the show already hinted that Kumoko suffered from bullying, and I’m expecting that communication between them will be kinda hard, I’m curious to see how things are going to develop.
