Anime Number 1: And the Winner is…

Hi guys and welcome to my place!

Today you can’t see which Anime I picked from the title muahahahahah! Well, it’s the end of my anime top series! The time passed so quickly, but when I look back… I only started blogging 10 weeks ago, but it seems that I know some of you from a lot more time than that! I want to thank all of you who follow me and like to read my writing! It was not the objective when I started the blog, but let me tell you that it makes really happy and it is way more fun this way! 😀

Now let’s talk about number 1 shall we? I have been dying to tell you and I also had some hardships writing my 30 day challenge without mentioned this anime many times. I didn’t want to give it away!!! 😀 Well, my favorite anime OF ALL TIME and by a LARGE margin is:

Nana

Probably it was anticlimactic… Sorry! 😀 I mean I have been posting about great names and very well-known animes and my favorite one is an anime which stopped in the middle of the story and there is no end to it (even in the manga)… Well everything is just THAT good!

Let me tell you, no other anime made me feel so different emotions, fall in so much love with the characters or sitting in the edge of my chair throughout all the 47 episodes that exist.

Let’s start with the story. (Again even though I really wanted to talk about everything, I will make it spoil-less)

The story starts with 2 really different Nanas catching the bullet train to Tokyo each one with different dreams and objectives. Nana number 1 (who I’m going to call by her nickname Hachi from here) is going to Tokyo to go live with her boyfriend who is studying in college. Hachi’s objective is only one, to be a stay at home wife and do her best doing that. Nana number 2 (who I will always call Nana) wants to be a rock/puck star and she’s going to Tokyo to do just that. They happen to sit near each other in the train and due to the blizzard the train is delayed for hours. During that time they really kick off and build a friendship. Do you know? Those kind of relationships that you feel that you were made to be the other’s person friend? Well it’s like that.

After getting to Tokyo they part ways thinking they will never see each other, however both need a place to live and both end up looking for the same apartment at the same time. Since both don’t have many money they decide to live together so the rent is cut by half and that’s where everything starts, if you saw the glasses scene from my 30 daily anime challenge, well it’s around this time they buy those glasses, the beginning of a friendship.

GOD! I just rewrote this part so many times that I can’t even count them. It is hard to explain you how a masterpiece this story is… So… Basically, from there they start to support each other while they work towards their objectives and you start seeing their friendship developing more and more… It’s even more than sisterhood… It’s something that I ever felt with my mom, my boyfriend and my best friend. Feeling that anything that happens, you will have someone who will be there to help you putting back to your feet.

As real life, sometimes sh*** happens and drags you down to the point that you don’t really know how you are going to pull yourself together, but at the same time there are happy days and situations that just puts you a smile in your face every time you think about them Nana is also full of ups and downs. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions and here comes the thing of putting me on the edge of my chair to see more, why? Well, because when things are just wrong and you end the episode crying your eyes out you want to se more episodes so they olve everything, when things are good… Well you just want to take advantage of that and continuing to see more happy episodes! 😀

This anime is a must for everyone. This is the anime that I tell people to give it a try when they say they don’t understand how can I watch “cartoons” or that they wouldn’t feel any sympathy with “drawings”… Why? Because when they give it a try they also cry their eyes out and they laugh their hearts out and  anxious… Well, basically they enter the Nana Rollercoaster of emotions, and even though they probably will not watch more anime, that one they loved it! 😛

Just noticed that I got so much into the story that I didn’t even talked about the animation or music. About the animation, it is an “old” anime, so the drawing is little more sharp (look at me talking about animation like a pro), but I think it’s good enough for you to enjoy even today. I love the characterization, it is a punk rock band, so the characters are really cool! I also love the cuter animation in the funny parts.

About the music, well… The anime is around music! So, of course the music is going to be good. Here is my favorite music from the anime:
